He urges that you should start small in order to familiarize students. He also urges the importance of internet safety and security. The cyber world is ever-evolving and teachers must keep abreast of all issues concerning student well-being on the web.
The chapter, to me, stressed how important it is to use web technology is a safe and responsible manner. All sorts of nasty things have happened to children as a result of their exploration on the web. It becomes the role of the teacher to instruct safe web practices and things to avoid while navigating in the online world.
